Chinese New Year in Wappingers Falls, NY

My community has the annual Chinese New Year celebration in Wappingers Falls, NY (USA) at the local high school. It's sponsored by the Mid Hudson Chinese Community Association.

The festivities include a buffet-style dinner and shows in the auditorium, including magic tricks, singing and traditional dancing.

The local celebrations feature four professional groups from New York City and each depicts a facet of Chinese culture.

A magic show is also presented, as well as a Peking opera and performances by local talent from the group's Chinese school youth orchestra.

I will be present the entire evening conducting book signings for the fifth year in a row. The bestselling author Da Chen has also held signings at this event.
