Map of the Yangtze River

Main Places of Interest along the Cruise

Downstream from Chongqing to Yichang

Map of Yangtze River Chongqing: is China's largest city-state with over 30 million people. A very industrial center, and the start of most Yangtze River Cruises downstream.

Map of Yangtze River Fengdu City of Ghosts: is a small town in the upper bank of the Yangtze, about 100 miles downstream from Chongqing. This "Ghost City" is dotted with shrines and statues of evil demons. A good place to experience Chinese Ghost culture.
Map of Yangtze River Yangtze River Gorges: The Yangtze River Three Gorges extend for 200 km. This is some of China's most beautiful scenery. Qutang Gorge is the first and shortest one of the three, followed by Wu and Xiling Gorges. Map of Yangtze River Shennong Xi : The Shennong Stream is a tributary of the Yangtze. We boarded smaller peapod rafts that took us in the shallower waters. The scenery is just breathtaking. The best excursion we had during the Cruise.
Map of Yangtze River The Yangtze River Dam: is the largest hydroelectric project ever undertaken. It is located in Sandouping, in Hubei Province and marks the end of our Cruise. Map of Yangtze River Yichang: From the Three Gorges Dam, we took a bus to Yichang, an ancient town which connects Eastern and Western China. Yichang serves as a gateway to the Dam Project.
