Update: Chinese New Year Celebrations 2021
As the Coronavirus pandemic continues to present a challenge, health and safety measures continue to adjust to the current conditions. The San Francisco Chinese Chamber of Commerce has decided to CANCEL ALL LIVE 2021 CHINESE NEW YEAR FESTIVITIES, including the iconic Golden Dragon Parade, and Flower and Street Fairs.
Instead, the "Year of the Ox on Parade" will be launched, where 11 life-sized Oxen will be publicly displayed across the city of San Francisco. Each Ox will reflect upon Chinese culture, people, and traditions and will be designed by local artists. You can check the location of the statues on Ox on Parade.
In addition, taking place instead of the live parade will be a Parade Broadcast Special which will air on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at 6 pm and will be broadcasted by KTVU Fox 2 and KTSF 26. Tune in the Festival's FB page for more on the Livestream.
